Speaker Devraj Ghimire has given the responsibility of Acting General Secretary of the Federal Parliament to the Secretary of the House of Representatives, Padma Prasad Pandey. In consultation with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ghimire gave Pandey the responsibility of Acting General Secretary of the Federal Parliament. Due to the lack of administrative leadership, some of the work to be done in connection with the Federal Parliament Day, and the appointment of employees recommended by the public service, etc., were affected, so the Speaker gave Pandey the responsibility of Acting General Secretary. The speaker’s press adviser Shekhar Adhikari said that even if the Speaker wanted to communicate with the President about the delay or interest in the appointment of the Secretary General, it was not possible. Pandey was recommended for appointment to the President after the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Bharatraj Gautam, resigned on Monday.
